About the Role
As a Critical Operations Technician I, you’ll help keep our data center facilities running reliably. You’ll install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing/piping, and control equipment both indoors and outdoors while monitoring building systems to support continuous operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on data center equipment and building systems
- Monitor operations and complete routine assessments of system performance
- Run tests, take rounds, and analyze operational data to confirm proper equipment functioning
- Support customers on the data center floor in person and via telephone
- Install customer equipment, manage requests through the ticketing system, and keep stakeholders updated
- Communicate, document, and escalate alerts and customer needs to systems engineers for resolution
- Complete tasks related to computer hardware, software, and operating systems as needed
Requirements
- Ability to work on-site during night shifts to support 24/7/365 operations
- Comfort troubleshooting and performing basic tests and inspections of critical systems
- Experience working with ticketing workflows and coordinating with technical teams
- Strong communication skills for customer and internal escalations
