About the Role
As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician Manager (DIAM), you will lead a team of Inventory & Asset Management technicians supporting inbound and outbound logistics, inventory cycle audits, and data center regulatory compliance activities. You’ll model strong leadership, maintain a high bar for accuracy and efficiency, and partner with stakeholders to resolve escalations as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach inventory and asset management technicians across daily operations
- Oversee inbound/outbound logistics activities related to data center assets
- Conduct and support inventory cycle audits to verify accuracy and completeness
- Drive execution of warranty processes and data bearing device (DBD) destruction
- Ensure compliance with applicable data center and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to triage issues and manage escalations
Requirements
- Leadership experience managing technicians or operations teams
- Strong understanding of inventory management and asset lifecycle processes
- Experience with audit readiness, compliance, and process documentation
- Knowledge of warranty workflows and secure device destruction practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced data center environment
