About the Role
Peraton’s Space and Mission Solutions sector is seeking a Cloud Architecture & Modernization emergent technologist to lead cloud transformation efforts across the US Intelligence and Space Community portfolio. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Reston, VA, with the flexibility to travel to customer sites to support classified and non-classified solution activities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an authoritative voice for cloud strategy, guiding customers from legacy on-prem environments to modern cloud and hybrid architectures
- Design secure, optimized cloud solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities
- Ensure architectures align with IC and DoD security requirements and compliance expectations
- Partner with stakeholders to modernize workloads, improve reliability, and strengthen overall platform performance
- Support customer solution activities across the full lifecycle of assessment, design, and implementation
Requirements
- Experience designing and modernizing cloud architectures for enterprise or mission-focused environments
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service models and how to apply them to real workloads
- Knowledge of security and compliance concepts applicable to IC and DoD environments
- Ability to communicate cloud strategy clearly and influence technical direction
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed for solution support
