About the Role
Simplesense builds and sustains the Installation Resilience Platform that helps mission operators quickly adapt and respond to incidents. We protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats and enable teams to monitor, diagnose, and improve response times using previously siloed information.
As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you’ll support cloud operations for a mission-focused defense program expanding across multiple Air Force, Space Force, and Army installations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical workloads
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to deploy, harden, and troubleshoot services in production
- Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and drive improvements to reliability and response times
- Support automation of operational workflows to improve scalability and consistency
- Contribute to security-focused operations, including security controls and vulnerability response processes
Requirements
- Experience in cloud operations for production environments
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and resolve operational issues
- Experience with monitoring/observability and incident response processes
- Comfort working in security-conscious, mission-driven environments
