About the Role
Confido is building AI infrastructure for modern CPG brands—bringing finance, accounting, sales, and operations into one platform. We’re a fast-growing team (5x year over year) based in New York City, and we’re looking for a Design Engineer to help create an AI-ready design system from the ground up.
In this role, you’ll design the foundation that helps teams ship faster with consistent tokens, components, styles, and clear documentation for both designers and developers.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an AI-ready design system, including tokens, components, and styling conventions
- Define component patterns and usage guidelines to improve consistency across the product
- Collaborate with design and engineering partners to translate UI decisions into reusable building blocks
- Write and refine descriptions/documentation that make the system easier to adopt and scale
- Iterate on the design system as product needs evolve, improving developer and designer workflows
Requirements
- Experience building design systems (tokens, components, and documentation)
- Strong front-end fundamentals and the ability to implement UI patterns in code
- Comfort working cross-functionally with designers and engineers
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of UI consistency and usability
- Ability to take ownership and build new system foundations from scratch
