Director of Corporate Accounting (Senior Accounting Manager Ready) | Remote

About the Role

Ethos is looking for a hands-on Director of Corporate Accounting to lead and continuously improve our corporate accounting operations. This role blends strategic thinking with day-to-day execution, helping ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own corporate accounting activities and ensure timely, accurate month-end and close processes
• Lead process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the accounting function
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to support reporting, reconciliations, and analysis
• Maintain strong accounting controls and support audit readiness
• Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a high-performing culture

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting, close management, and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Experience leading or supervising accounting work, either formally or through strong ownership
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment
