Director of Cyber Security Architecture & Engineering Services (Remote)

About the Role

U.S. FinTech is seeking an experienced Director of Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering Services to lead security architecture and engineering efforts across our cloud-based mortgage securitization platform. This is a full-time remote position.

As the technology behind a large portion of the secondary mortgage market, you will help protect critical systems that support end-to-end issuance, administration, disclosure, and tax services.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve cybersecurity architecture patterns, standards, and reference designs for enterprise systems.
• Lead engineering services to implement security controls across cloud and application environments.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Drive threat-informed risk reduction by translating security requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure secure design reviews, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support incident readiness, monitoring, and remediation efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading cybersecurity architecture and security engineering initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and secure architecture for distributed systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of security controls, vulnerability management, and secure SDLC practices.
• Ability to communicate security strategy clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
• Experience working in regulated environments and supporting compliance-driven security requirements.
