About the Role
The Director of School Operations leads the non-instructional systems for a KIPP New Orleans campus, ensuring School Leaders and teachers can stay focused on students, culture, and learning. Working closely with regional leaders and campus teams, you will design, manage, and continuously improve day-to-day operations across the full school.
Responsibilities
- Own campus operations including budgeting, procurement, and on-time, on-budget project delivery
- Oversee facilities, safety, transportation, and food service to ensure reliable daily operations
- Manage attendance and enrollment systems, supporting progress toward measurable targets
- Ensure strong HR and compliance records, including readiness for required processes and audits
- Coordinate family and staff communications, athletics logistics, and campus scheduling
- Develop and maintain the master calendar and space allocation to support equitable access across programs
- Partner with School Leaders and regional teams to protect instructional time and improve operational effectiveness
Requirements
- Experience leading complex operational functions in an education setting or comparable environment
- Strong knowledge of compliance, audits, and HR recordkeeping expectations
- Proven ability to manage budgets, procurement, and facilities/safety operations
- Demonstrated skill in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication
- Ability to use data to drive attendance, enrollment, and continuous improvement outcomes
