About the Role
WVU Parkersburg is seeking a Director of Teacher Education to lead and strengthen our teacher education programs across our community and technical college locations. This role supports our mission of high-quality teaching and academic excellence for students pursuing certificates, associate, and bachelor’s degrees.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for teacher education initiatives and program growth
- Oversee program quality, academic standards, and continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support student success
- Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation and institutional requirements
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in education, teacher preparation, or related academic programs
- Strong knowledge of higher education program standards and best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and community partners
