Product Design Leadership UX Strategy Prototyping and Iteration

About the Role

Babylist is hiring a design leader to own the product experience for Registry, the foundation that helps growing families feel prepared during a major life transition. This role sets the UX direction, defines the quality bar, and drives measurable outcomes through clear priorities and strong customer focus.

You’ll translate company goals into an actionable roadmap, lead bold bets that go beyond incremental changes, and ensure decisions balance long-term user needs with business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end UX vision for Registry, including experience quality, usability, and customer outcomes
  • Define design priorities tied to KPIs and communicate what to build and why
  • Lead step-function improvement initiatives by advocating for strong product bets
  • Operate as a hands-on builder—partnering with teams and contributing directly when it’s the fastest path to production-quality work
  • Partner with engineers, PMs, and analysts to shape requirements, validate solutions, and refine experiences
  • Stand up prototypes and iterate quickly based on data and customer insights

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience owning product design strategy and execution
  • Strong product sense and ability to translate goals into clear design priorities and measurable KPIs
  • Hands-on experience building high-quality interfaces (including familiarity with codebase collaboration)
  • Track record of partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, and analytics
  • Experience with AI-related product experiences is a plus

Benefits

  • Opportunity to shape a core customer experience that supports families at a critical moment
  • High-impact role with the autonomy to set the UX vision and quality bar
  • Collaborative environment partnering closely with engineering, product, and data teams
