About the Role
KIPP New Orleans is seeking an Elementary Science Teacher for our next school year. We believe every student has gifts, and we’re committed to helping teachers bring those gifts to life through strong instruction, high expectations, and ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging, academically excellent science learning experiences for elementary students
- Plan and deliver lessons that build students’ understanding of science concepts and practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to support strong classroom culture and student achievement
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted support
- Uphold KIPP’s commitment to respect, support, and purpose in every interaction
Requirements
- Experience teaching elementary students (science preferred)
- Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
- Commitment to student growth, continuous improvement, and teamwork
