About the Role
Zocdoc is on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare experience. We’re building a leading marketplace that helps people find and book in-person or virtual care across all 50 states, thousands of specialties, and a wide range of insurance plans. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead teams that improve how patients search, choose, and schedule care—so the experience is fast, clear, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow engineering teams, setting direction, coaching, and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Partner with product, design, and data teams to plan and execute roadmap initiatives
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability across critical marketplace services
- Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and operational excellence
- Collaborate across teams to remove blockers and deliver measurable customer impact
Requirements
- Experience managing engineers and delivering projects in a fast-paced software environment
- Strong technical background with demonstrated ability to guide architecture and execution
- Experience with modern web services and distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
- Commitment to building products that improve patient experiences
