About the Role
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is seeking an Engineering Technician Consultant to join District 58’s Design Section. This is a promotional opportunity for current DOTD permanent classified employees only. In this role, you’ll serve as the technical expert in CADD, supporting the design of highly complex, specialized highway projects.
Responsibilities
- Use CADD to create and develop highway design deliverables for complex, specialized projects
- Ensure designs comply with applicable state and federal standards
- Support the District 58 Design Section with technical CADD expertise throughout project development
- Coordinate with engineering staff to maintain design accuracy and project requirements
Requirements
- Current DOTD permanent classified employee status (promotional opportunity only)
- Strong CADD experience supporting highway design work
- Knowledge of state and federal highway design standards
