About the Role
SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Facilities Engineer to support the Construction Projects Team. You’ll partner with engineers across disciplines to help design, build, and activate the infrastructure that advances the Starlink mission. This role is based in the Austin area, with potential travel and opportunities to support other SpaceX sites as business needs evolve.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams, coordinating with consulting engineers and contractors
- Support the planning and delivery of large capital projects for internal customers
- Help ensure mechanical systems and facility requirements are defined, built, and activated to meet project goals
- Collaborate across disciplines to drive alignment from design through execution
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering experience with facilities or infrastructure projects
- Ability to lead cross-functional efforts and coordinate with external partners
- Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals for capital construction
- Willingness to travel as needed
