About the Role
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to support strong partnerships between families and schools. This role is non-classified, and applications are accepted from residents and non-residents of Colorado. You will be required to live in Colorado and complete your work for CDE within the state.
Responsibilities
- Engage families to strengthen understanding, participation, and support for student success
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote effective family engagement practices
- Support program and outreach efforts aligned with CDE goals and priorities
- Assist with activities that connect families to resources and relevant school/community information
Requirements
- Ability to live in Colorado and complete work for CDE within Colorado
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
- Experience working with families, community partners, or educational stakeholders (preferred)
