About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made vehicles—honoring a legacy while electrifying and digitizing the driving experience. We’re looking for an engineer to support function development and calibration with a focus on drivability for our electric and range-extended powertrains.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine vehicle control functions that influence drivability, including calibration-ready logic and parameters
- Support calibration activities to improve vehicle response, smoothness, and overall customer feel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into testable, measurable behaviors
- Analyze test data and iterate on software/calibration approaches to achieve target performance
- Document work clearly and support validation efforts through development cycles
Requirements
- Experience with vehicle controls, calibration, and/or drivability-focused development
- Strong understanding of powertrain behavior and how control strategies affect driver experience
- Proficiency with data analysis and debugging for software and calibration workflows
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment
