About the Role

Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made vehicles—honoring a legacy while electrifying and digitizing the driving experience. We’re looking for an engineer to support function development and calibration with a focus on drivability for our electric and range-extended powertrains.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine vehicle control functions that influence drivability, including calibration-ready logic and parameters
  • Support calibration activities to improve vehicle response, smoothness, and overall customer feel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into testable, measurable behaviors
  • Analyze test data and iterate on software/calibration approaches to achieve target performance
  • Document work clearly and support validation efforts through development cycles

Requirements

  • Experience with vehicle controls, calibration, and/or drivability-focused development
  • Strong understanding of powertrain behavior and how control strategies affect driver experience
  • Proficiency with data analysis and debugging for software and calibration workflows
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment
