About the Role
GeoCGI is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s California Great Basin Region Enterprise GIS program (BORGIS). This position delivers geospatial analysis, mapping, spatial data management, and enterprise GIS support for mission-critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Support enterprise GIS activities for the BORGIS program, including spatial data management and maintenance
- Perform geospatial analysis and create maps to support project planning and stakeholder collaboration
- Assist with GIS workflows and tools used to manage and serve geospatial information
- Collaborate with Bureau of Reclamation stakeholders and project teams to support field and training needs
- Travel occasionally within California and the western United States for meetings, training, and field activities
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOI Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
- Successful completion of a National Agency Check (NAC)
- Must be located within 50 miles of a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation office
- Strong GIS and geospatial analysis skills, with experience supporting mapping and spatial data workflows
- Availability during reporting hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time
