About the Role
WLUK/WCWF is hiring a creative Good Day Wisconsin Producer to support the daily production of our morning newscasts. You’ll collaborate with the Executive Producer, Directors, Content Manager, and anchors to shape show content, story flow, and web-ready material.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day production tasks for newscasts, including content planning and rundown flow
- Partner with management and on-air talent to develop, write, and refine stories
- Execute daily news strategy and goals during live and deadline-driven segments
- Write compelling, accurate copy and help ensure editorial quality across platforms
- Work closely with the team to create content that also supports the station’s website
Requirements
- Strong news judgment and the ability to prioritize what matters for viewers
- Proven ability to write clearly and accurately under tight deadlines
- Comfort multitasking and managing time to build an engaging newscast
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and quick problem-solving in real time
