About the Role
WKRC is seeking a creative, forward-thinking News Producer to help shape what a modern local newscast can be. If you’re energized by storytelling, enjoy experimenting with new formats, and want to do more than simply fill a rundown, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers, anchors, and directors to produce engaging, dynamic newscasts
- Develop memorable content that connects with viewers across multiple platforms
- Bring fresh ideas to each newscast, including new approaches to pacing, structure, and storytelling
- Support innovative reporter presentations and more conversational storytelling
- Leverage strong video and sound to enhance the viewer experience
- Create and refine digital-first content that helps stories stand out online
Requirements
- Strong writing skills with a clear, compelling storytelling voice
- Creative mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Experience producing or coordinating news content for broadcast and/or digital platforms
- Ability to work closely with on-air talent and production teams in a fast-paced environment
