Grassroots Coordinator (New Mexico) | Community Organizing | Las Cruces, NM

About the Role

The LIBRE Initiative is looking for a Grassroots Coordinator to help strengthen community leadership across New Mexico. Rooted in the Hispanic community, LIBRE works to advance public policy solutions that expand freedom and opportunity for everyone to pursue their American Dream.

In this role, you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders, then mobilize them to take meaningful action toward policy reforms that create more opportunity for all.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and build relationships with grassroots leaders throughout New Mexico
• Engage and support community leaders to participate in advocacy efforts
• Coordinate grassroots outreach and mobilization activities to drive policy action
• Help plan and execute community engagement initiatives that advance LIBRE’s mission
• Track engagement progress and maintain accurate program updates

Requirements

• Experience working in community outreach, organizing, or advocacy (preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to motivate others and coordinate grassroots efforts
• Commitment to public policy and community empowerment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
