About the Role
Chaminade College Preparatory is seeking a dynamic and innovative High School Mathematics Teacher for grades 9–12 at our campus in West Hills, California. This full-time, in-person position begins in August 2026 and is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating engaging lessons and strengthening students’ mathematical understanding.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school mathematics, including coursework through Calculus (as assigned)
- Plan and deliver lessons that build fluency, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning
- Use effective classroom management to support a positive, productive learning environment
- Design instruction that helps all students succeed and reach their full potential
- Support students in developing contemporary skills for success across academic and real-world contexts
Requirements
- Experience teaching high school math, including instruction through Calculus
- Demonstrated ability to improve student understanding and performance through well-structured lessons
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage a diverse student population
- Experience designing lessons that promote reasoning, communication, and problem-solving
