About the Role
Chaminade College Preparatory is seeking a dynamic and engaging long-term Mathematics substitute teacher for our high school campus (grades 9–12) in West Hills, California. This full-time role will cover five math classes, including instruction through Calculus, from November 2026 through January 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach five high school math classes, supporting student learning through Calculus
- Deliver lessons that strengthen mathematical understanding, fluency, problem-solving, and reasoning
- Create an engaging classroom environment with strong, effective classroom management
- Support students in building skills that help them succeed across diverse academic and cultural contexts
Requirements
- Experience teaching high school Mathematics, including Calculus
- Proven ability to design and deliver instruction that improves student mathematical reasoning
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment
