About the Role
Join our team at Mantra Charles, where hospitality is delivered with pride and attention to detail. As a Houseperson, you’ll support our housekeeping operations by moving quickly around the property to help room and public area attendants. Your role ensures guests receive the items they need promptly and that linens, towels, and amenities are always stocked.
Responsibilities
- Prioritise and respond to guest requests, including delivering amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, and collecting items from guest rooms as needed
- Work closely with housekeeping team members to complete tasks efficiently and on time
- Collect used linens from guest rooms and transport them to the designated laundry area
- Assist with room cleaning and public area upkeep when requested
- Handle cleaning products and chemicals safely while respecting guest privacy and security
- Report maintenance issues promptly and support a positive, welcoming guest experience
Requirements
- Warm, friendly communication style that makes guests and colleagues feel comfortable
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively
- Comfort with a physically active role, including navigating stairs and pushing trollies/equipment
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable transport and availability across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
