About the Role
Join our team in Richmond, VA as an Industrial Material Handling Technician supporting day-to-day yard and warehouse operations. In this role, you’ll help safely move steel products, load and unload shipments, and operate heavy material handling equipment. Prior experience is a plus, and training is available for motivated candidates who want to learn.
Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and transport steel materials safely.
- Use Pettibone equipment to move materials across the yard and warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments while following established safety procedures.
- Support efficient daily operations in the yard and warehouse environment.
- Maintain safe work practices and report issues as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work first shift (Monday–Thursday starting at 6:00 AM, 8–10 hour shifts, with about one Saturday per month).
- Comfort working around industrial equipment and steel materials.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines.
- Equipment experience is encouraged (training available for the right candidate).

- Starting pay from $22.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience.
