About the Role
Join our team as a Junior Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer to help design, develop, and improve heavy mechanical equipment used for lifting, maintenance, and emergency response operations. You’ll support projects from early concept through manufacturing, testing, field support, and ongoing product enhancements.

Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical equipment design from concept through production support
- Contribute to development and improvement of lifting and maintenance-focused equipment
- Support testing activities and help document design changes based on results
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure designs meet requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product performance and reliability
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering education and/or relevant experience in equipment design
- Comfort working through the full engineering lifecycle (design, build support, testing, field feedback)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, technical environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Work Schedule & Location
- Onsite in Chesterfield, VA
- 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday)
Compensation
- Starting salary from $80,000 per year (higher compensation based on experience)
