Reporting to the project manager, you’ll apply advanced engineering and design practices to help deliver overhead and underground network services, including analyses, documentation, and construction-ready deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction sketches and engineering details for overhead and underground network services (4 kV through 34 kV)
- Manage structural analyses, short-circuit studies, and voltage drop calculations
- Prepare and maintain bill of material (BOM) documentation and cost estimates
- Support permit coordination and contribute to traffic control plan development
- Design overhead URD and underground network services across 4 kV through 34 kV
- Analyze and design priority feeds and develop distribution system plan modifications
- Create work packages and track execution performance throughout project delivery
- Provide oversight to entry-level engineers and perform QA/QC on deliverables
Requirements
- Experience with distribution engineering for overhead and underground systems (4 kV through 34 kV)
- Proficiency in electrical analysis including short-circuit and voltage drop calculations
- Strong knowledge of engineering documentation such as BOMs, cost estimates, and permitting deliverables
- Ability to coordinate complex engineering tasks and support traffic control planning
- Experience leading or mentoring less experienced engineers and performing QA/QC
Benefits
- Opportunity to work on high-impact grid distribution projects in a collaborative engineering environment
- Career growth through ownership of complex deliverables and mentoring responsibilities
