About the Role
Scout Motors is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Assembly Finish & Rework to help us build high-quality vehicles with a strong focus on continuous improvement. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to improve production outcomes, reduce rework, and strengthen our assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze assembly finish and rework workflows to identify root causes of defects and process variation
- Develop and document process improvements, work instructions, and quality-focused manufacturing standards
- Support troubleshooting on the production floor and drive corrective actions to closure
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and operations teams to improve yield, throughput, and customer-ready quality
- Assist in maintaining manufacturing documentation and supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Track key manufacturing metrics and communicate progress, risks, and next steps to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related role
- Hands-on knowledge of assembly processes, defect analysis, and rework reduction strategies
- Strong understanding of quality principles and problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (including process plans and work instructions)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
