About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made vehicles—and we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Specialist to support assembly interior operations. In this role, you’ll help drive efficient, repeatable production processes that uphold quality, safety, and performance across the build.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve assembly interior manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and throughput targets
- Support line readiness activities, including process validation, documentation, and start-up support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Define and maintain work instructions, process parameters, and quality checks for interior assembly
- Partner with engineering and operations to optimize tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods
- Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on knowledge of assembly processes, production troubleshooting, and process improvement
- Strong understanding of quality systems and root-cause problem solving
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and manufacturing documentation
- Proficiency with data analysis and basic manufacturing performance metrics
- Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional environments
