About the Role
SpaceXAI is building AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and help humanity advance its pursuit of knowledge. We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Memphis, Tennessee and support the design, build, and continuous improvement of physical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems and components that support company mission goals
- Build, test, and iterate on mechanical assemblies in an engineering-focused environment
- Optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Collaborate closely with teammates to translate technical needs into practical solutions
- Communicate engineering decisions clearly and concisely
Requirements
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and practical hands-on experience
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving, small team
- Excellent communication skills for sharing knowledge with teammates
- Strong initiative and comfort taking ownership of engineering deliverables
