About the Role
Join a growing automotive dealership group as a Payroll & Compensation Manager (also titled Payroll Operations Manager). You will lead payroll operations across seven locations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for both commissioned and union employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple dealership sites
- Ensure payroll accuracy, on-time delivery, and compliance with applicable regulations and union requirements
- Partner with executive leadership, department managers, HR, Accounting, and the CFO to support payroll operations
- Manage and validate compensation structures, including performance-based pay plans
- Coordinate with accounting teams to support accurate reporting and reconciliation
- Review payroll processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Requirements
- Proven payroll leadership experience, preferably in a multi-location or high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and union payroll considerations
- Knowledge of dealership operations and automotive compensation structures (including commissioned roles)
- Ability to interpret and work with compensation plans and performance-based pay
- Strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
