About the Role
Astera Labs is seeking a Physical Design/CAD Engineer to help plan, coordinate, and execute physical design activities that support high-performance connectivity solutions. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment where semiconductor design and system-level connectivity requirements come together.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning and coordination for physical design deliverables across project timelines
- Support CAD flows and ensure design readiness for downstream verification and integration
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into physical design tasks
- Contribute to improving design quality through careful execution of tooling and flow steps
- Assist with documentation and tracking of design status, issues, and next steps
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with physical design and/or CAD tool flows
- Strong understanding of semiconductor design processes and design constraints
- Ability to coordinate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain clear engineering communication
- Experience working with industry-standard EDA workflows is a plus
