About the Role
Brookhaven National Laboratory (NSLS-II) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to develop AI-driven approaches for structural analysis supporting biological discoveries. This on-site position sits within the Biological, Environmental and Planetary Science Division and will help unlock insights from complex crystallographic data.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine AI/ML methods to interpret crystallographic datasets
- Build scalable computational analysis workflows for structural biology research
- Support discovery efforts related to protein function, ligand binding, and molecular dynamics
- Collaborate with beamline scientists and computing center teams at macromolecular crystallography facilities
- Contribute to projects that connect AI method development with large-scale research operations
Requirements
- Background in computational biology and/or structural biology
- Strong interest and experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Experience working with scientific or computational data analysis (crystallography-related experience is a plus)
