Early Childhood Support Classroom Technology Student Supervision

About the Role

West Point Elementary School (Department of Defense Education Activity - Americas, Mid-Atlantic District) is seeking an Educational Aide to support our Pre-K classroom. This position works in a classroom environment and helps ensure a smooth, consistent learning experience for students throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom instruction by preparing and organizing instructional materials
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and welcoming learning environment
  • Monitor students during different parts of the school day
  • Assist with personal care routines including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
  • Help operate instructional equipment and classroom technology devices
  • Accompany and supervise students during field trips
  • Support continuity of the program when the teacher is absent
  • Support family engagement through home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and other meetings
  • Create classroom displays that reflect learning objectives
  • Use assistive technology to help record and track student data

Requirements

  • Experience supporting early childhood learners in a school or childcare setting
  • Ability to assist with basic personal care routines for young children
  • Comfort using instructional technology and equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with teachers and families
  • Ability to supervise students and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment
