About the Role

West Point Elementary School (Department of Defense Education Activity – Americas, Mid-Atlantic District) is seeking an Educational Aide to support our Pre-K classroom team. The position works primarily in a classroom environment and helps ensure students have a consistent, engaging learning day.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuity of the program when the teacher is absent
  • Monitor students throughout different parts of the school day
  • Assist with classroom preparation, including getting instructional materials ready
  • Help students with personal care routines such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene
  • Support learning activities using classroom instructional equipment and technology
  • Accompany and supervise students during field trips
  • Prepare and produce classroom displays that reinforce learning objectives
  • Apply assistive technology to support student data recording
  • Participate in home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and other required meetings

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a classroom setting with young learners
  • Comfort supporting students with personal care routines
  • Experience or willingness to use instructional technology and assistive tools
  • Strong organization skills and attention to maintaining a clean, prepared learning environment
