About the Role

Join our Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team as a Principal Data Scientist, partnering directly with customers to tackle complex, real-world challenges. If you enjoy exploring problems from new angles, spotting meaningful trends, and turning insights into practical business solutions, you’ll feel right at home here.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with customer engineers to co-develop cloud-based solutions that help accelerate their organizations. You’ll also work closely with Microsoft product teams, partners, and open-source communities to deliver outcomes that customers can scale with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to identify opportunities where data science and analytics can drive measurable impact
• Analyze complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights
• Design and develop data-driven solutions for cloud environments
• Partner with engineering stakeholders to prototype, iterate, and deliver working code alongside customers
• Collaborate across product teams, partners, and community resources to accelerate solution delivery

Requirements

• Strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis
• Experience building and deploying data-driven solutions in cloud or distributed environments
• Ability to translate business and technical needs into modeling and analytics approaches
• Proven experience collaborating with customers or cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong communication skills to explain insights and recommendations clearly
