About the Role
As a Principal Software Engineer on our Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team, you’ll help customers tackle complex challenges by building cloud-based solutions. You’ll work alongside customer engineers to jointly design and implement code that accelerates real outcomes.
In this global role, you’ll collaborate with Microsoft product teams, partners, and open-source communities to create reusable solution patterns and high-impact software assets that extend the Microsoft platform.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers and internal teams to develop and refine cloud solutions
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable software components and solution patterns
- Contribute to open-source software assets and other broadly applicable engineering work
- Collaborate in joint engineering sessions to iterate quickly and deliver customer value
- Share technical insights and help drive best practices across projects
Requirements
- Strong experience building production-grade software in cloud environments
- Proven ability to architect and deliver complex systems end-to-end
- Experience collaborating with customers, partners, or cross-functional engineering teams
- Comfort working with modern development practices and open-source ecosystems
