About the Role
As a Product Architect in our Software Engineering division, you’ll analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement major updates to existing software architecture. You’ll also help create new architecture for a moderate-sized product or a key component of a larger platform.
Responsibilities
- Specify, design, and implement architectural changes to existing software systems
- Develop and maintain software for commercial and end-user applications
- Write code, complete programming tasks, and perform testing and debugging
- Create and execute unit tests and unit test plans
- Review integration and regression test plans prepared by QA
- Partner with QA and porting engineering to improve consistency, testability, and portability
- Serve as a recognized expert and provide leadership on new products, processes, and technical approaches
- Act as a primary consultant on large initiatives aligned to long-term organizational strategy
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong experience designing and implementing software architecture
- Proficiency in unit testing and test planning
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and improve application quality
- Experience collaborating with QA and engineering teams to ensure portability and consistency
