About the Role
We’re seeking a Product Engineer to join our Plant 3 team at Whitehall Casting Operations. In this role, you’ll help strengthen manufacturing performance through process control, continuous improvement initiatives, and ownership of product integrity for assigned components. You’ll also support customer-facing and internal documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and readiness across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Own and support process control activities to maintain product integrity for assigned products
- Lead or participate in improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability
- Create, establish, and maintain external and internal customer associate documentation
- Prepare part-specific work instructions to support consistent execution on the floor
- Maintain job cost knowledge and use insights to support profitability goals
- Develop and implement plans aimed at improving plant and product profitability
- Apply systems-thinking to evaluate how actions impact downstream operations and outcomes
- Continuously challenge the team to find smarter ways of working and remove barriers
Requirements
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, process control, and continuous improvement
- Strong ability to think holistically across operations and identify root causes
- Comfort working with documentation and translating technical requirements into clear instructions
- Ability to support cost awareness and improvement planning
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on helping others succeed
