About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Protection and Controls Engineer to support the Energy Business Line’s Engineering Center of Excellence within Grid Modernization initiatives. This position can be remote across the U.S., or hybrid from select AECOM office locations.
You’ll help deliver electrical engineering services spanning transmission and distribution substations, interconnections, renewables integration, and next-generation energy concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design and support protection and control solutions for substation and related power systems
- Contribute to engineering deliverables for grid modernization projects and pursuits
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across transmission, distribution, and renewable integration efforts
- Assist with technical analysis and documentation to support project execution
Requirements
- Electrical engineering experience with protection and controls for substations
- Strong understanding of power system protection principles and control schemes
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
