About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Psychiatry Physician for a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) position within the DoD competitive service. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care across multiple settings, including inpatient, emergency, tele-psychiatric, and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults.
Responsibilities
- Deliver psychiatric services for patients across inpatient, consultation-liaison, partial hospitalization, day programs, emergency services, and routine/intensive outpatient care
- Create and manage individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
- Provide therapeutic treatment, including medication management and appropriate psychotherapy modalities
- Conduct group therapy and support multidisciplinary care coordination
- Monitor patient progress and adjust the course of treatment as clinically indicated
- Provide follow-up care for adults with mental health and behavioral disorders
- Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Serve as a member of the professional medical staff and offer advisory and consultative support
Requirements
- Medical licensure and qualifications to practice psychiatry
- Experience providing psychiatric care in one or more of the following settings: inpatient, emergency, tele-psychiatry, partial hospitalization, or outpatient
- Ability to develop evidence-based treatment plans and manage medication treatment
- Strong clinical judgment in monitoring progress and revising treatment plans as needed
- Professional commitment to patient care, safety, and effective collaboration with care teams
