About the Role

Hill International is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to support aviation and airfield construction work in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you’ll conduct on-site inspections, verify compliance with contract documents and applicable codes, and help keep projects aligned with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections to confirm work meets approved contract documents and relevant codes
  • Verify contractor work aligns with specifications, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate daily inspection activities with third-party inspectors and key project stakeholders, including operations, environmental teams, and city inspectors
  • Identify and document deficiencies, then communicate findings to the contractor and CDS inspectors in a timely manner
  • Assist Construction Managers by supporting verification of installed quantities for pay applications
  • Maintain detailed daily inspection reports that capture work reviewed and observations
  • Support change management activities and contribute to schedule evaluations
  • Use project documentation such as design drawings, specifications, design standards, and contract terms to guide inspections
  • Organize and maintain on-site inspection and test documentation
  • Stay current on codes and regulations affecting design and construction
  • Provide discipline-specific daily oversight of workmanship and materials to ensure standards are met
  • Escalate field issues early and recommend solutions to mitigate risks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in aviation and airfield construction
  • Ability to occasionally work nights based on project demands
