About the Role
Join our team as an R&D Food Scientist at our on-site Hugoton, KS facility. You’ll help bring new products from concept to industrial reality by supporting pilot plant trials, data collection, and the commissioning of production lines. This is a hands-on role focused on food science, process improvement, and safe, efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pilot plant operations, including trial execution and structured data collection
- Support commissioning activities for new or updated production lines
- Coordinate the collection and handling of sales samples for new product launches
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and compliance within the experimental production environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and process efficiency
Requirements
- Background in food science and/or food processing with an interest in process engineering
- Experience working in a manufacturing or pilot plant environment (preferred)
- Strong attention to hygiene and safety practices
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and support cross-functional teams
