About the Role
Verisign is looking for an Engineer III—Research Software Engineer to help advance the security and resiliency of internet infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to research that can translate into practical, operational improvements to the foundations of Internet security.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop novel, research-driven concepts relevant to Internet infrastructure security
- Prototype and implement software approaches that support operationally relevant research outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate ideas and drive them toward real-world impact
- Support the extension of core security capabilities through fundamental engineering improvements
Requirements
- Experience building and applying software in security- or infrastructure-focused environments
- Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to turn research ideas into working implementations
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across teams
