Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, modern vehicles—rooted in American heritage and powered by innovation. We’re seeking a Ride Comfort Simulation Engineer to help evaluate and improve ride comfort performance through modeling, simulation, and data-driven objectivation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine ride comfort evaluation methods using simulation and objective metrics
- Create/maintain simulation workflows that support vehicle dynamics and comfort analysis
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into measurable comfort targets
- Analyze results, identify trends, and recommend design or calibration improvements
- Support validation efforts by linking simulation findings to test and field data
Requirements
- Experience with vehicle dynamics, ride comfort, and/or suspension-related analysis
- Proficiency with simulation tools and modeling workflows (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent)
- Strong data analysis skills and comfort working with performance metrics
- Ability to communicate findings clearly across engineering stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with comfort evaluation methods and objective assessment approaches
