Senior Accountant (Month-End Close) | Hybrid/Onsite in Cambridge, MA

About the Role

Montai Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a fast-growing, first-in-category organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you’ll help drive a smooth month-end close, strengthen accounting processes as the company scales, and provide actionable financial insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute key activities for the month-end close process
• Develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures to support organizational growth
• Support enhancements to companywide financial reporting, including improved analytics
• Assist with cash flow management and related forecasting/monitoring activities
• Contribute to consolidated reporting and support cross-functional stakeholders as needed
• Provide business insights that help leaders evaluate company performance and progress

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting with responsibility for month-end close
• Strong understanding of accounting policies, controls, and financial reporting
• Ability to analyze financial information and translate it into clear insights
• Experience improving processes, documentation, and reporting workflows in a growing company
• Comfort working with consolidated financial reporting and cash-related analysis
