About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Resident Engineer to support airport construction projects by verifying that electrical installations meet design intent, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements. You’ll be on-site to monitor work quality, perform inspections and testing, and ensure electrical systems are delivered safely and to spec.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of electrical systems, including low/medium and high-voltage installations
- Verify compliance for backup power, generators, power distribution systems, and airfield lighting and controls
- Review electrical switchgear, constant current regulators, and related equipment for proper installation and operation
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues
- Conduct equipment and system testing and document results, findings, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and support project closeout documentation
Requirements
- Experience as a resident engineer or similar field engineering role on construction projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with inspections and testing of electrical infrastructure (including power distribution and airfield lighting/control systems)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and test documentation
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate across contractors and project teams
