About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, capable vehicles—and we’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help optimize and advance our energy consumption strategy. In this role, you’ll support the development of powertrain performance for both all-electric operation and the Harvester™ range extender approach, helping ensure our vehicles deliver efficiency, reliability, and confidence across real-world use.
Responsibilities
- Analyze energy consumption performance across operating conditions for EV and range-extended configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, validate assumptions, and guide design decisions
- Develop and maintain models, test plans, and evaluation methods to measure energy usage and efficiency
- Support system-level troubleshooting and performance improvements based on data from testing and field learnings
- Document findings clearly and communicate progress to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in energy management, vehicle efficiency, or powertrain performance engineering
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret test data and system behavior
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and contributing to engineering decisions
- Proficiency with engineering tools and/or data analysis workflows relevant to vehicle systems
