About the Role
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, CA, focused on building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. We design, manufacture, and operate aircraft intended to improve sustainable air mobility with minimal noise. We’re looking for a Senior GNC Engineer to help develop flight control capabilities for electric VTOL systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement flight control algorithms for electric VTOL aircraft using MATLAB/Simulink as the primary model-based development environment
- Build and maintain high-fidelity Simulink models and simulations to support verification and validation
- Collaborate with engineering partners to refine control strategies and improve performance across operating conditions
Requirements
- Experience developing flight control algorithms for aerospace or related dynamic systems
- Strong proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink for model-based design
- Ability to create high-fidelity simulations to verify control behavior
