About the Role
SMX is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. You will oversee continuous monitoring, incident response, and cyber defense activities for classified enterprise environments, ensuring strong security operations across a 24x7 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts supporting 24x7 SOC operations
- Coordinate and drive cyber incident response activities from detection through resolution
- Oversee continuous monitoring and ensure effective alert triage and escalation
- Review security alerts and perform incident investigation activities
- Manage vulnerability remediation efforts and support risk reduction initiatives
- Lead the development and maintenance of ATO packages
- Coordinate change management activities impacting security posture
- Support compliance efforts aligned to RMF requirements
- Produce and communicate operational metrics to support SOC performance and continuous improvement
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility
- Proven experience leading security operations or SOC activities
- Strong background in incident response, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring
- Experience supporting RMF processes and ATO package development
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional security activities in classified environments
Work Location
- Full-time, onsite position in Fort Bragg, North Carolina
