About the Role
Databricks is seeking a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Data Science to help shape the future of our infrastructure using advanced data science. You’ll address complex problems across capacity planning, performance optimization, reliability engineering, infrastructure efficiency, and customer experience.
You’ll lead a team of data scientists and partner closely with engineering leadership to deliver data-driven insights that improve how our platform runs at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure-focused data science initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Develop models and analytics for capacity planning and infrastructure decision-making
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to translate insights into actionable engineering improvements
- Drive experimentation, measurement, and continuous optimization of infrastructure outcomes
- Mentor and manage a team of data scientists, setting technical direction and priorities
Requirements
- Proven experience leading data science work in infrastructure, platform, or large-scale systems
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data-driven optimization
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver measurable production impact
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management and technical guidance
